GASC 2009
BANQUET


The Conference Banquet takes place on Saturday, June 20th, at The Social Restaurant and Lounge, 537 Sussex Drive, a short stroll from 
the University and from the Lord Elgin Hotel.  Ask for the section reserved in the name of Ian Dennis.

There will be an opportunity to mingle, with a cash bar, starting immediately after Professor Gans’s plenary talk, at 6:30 pm.  Dinner
will begin at 7:30: a three-course meal, with four choices of main dish, including a vegetarian option.  

The dinner, dessert and wine at table are included for your banquet ticket.  

No speeches are planned, and there will be no performances of a local or ethnic nature.  A pleasant atmosphere and good company are 
guaranteed.

The venue and cash bar will remain open, for those wishing to avail themselves, till the modest, standard Canadian closing hour of 
2:00 AM.


 
PLEASE NOTE!! The banquet is now fully booked.  Participants who would still like to join us at The Social on 
Saturday evening can reserve individually. You would be seated in an adjacent room for dinner, but would share 
the lounge area and have plenty of opportunity for conversation with other GASC attendees.  You would pay 
individually for the meal and drink of your choice.  Reservations can be made here or by phone at 613-789-7355.
