In September 1945, Carole returned to California after a year
spent mostly in New York City. She rented violinist Jan
Rubini's house at 621 N. Hillcrest Rd., Beverly Hills, and auctioned off her
Sunset Plaza furnishings. She lived here until February 1946, when
she made her West Coast residence at 232 S. Mapleton Drive in Westwood. |
